Iyadani-ji Temple
Climb through forested Mt Iyadani to Iyadani-ji, Temple 71 of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage. The route’s 540 stone steps lead to cliff-set halls, a lion-mouth cavern and Buddhist figures carved into rock, creating one of Kagawa’s most atmospheric pilgrimage visits.
Look for the Buddhist figures carved straight into the rock.
